Simon Wainwright, Managing Director recently took part in an industry meeting with High Streets Minister, Jake Berry MP to debate what has gone wrong with the High Street.
Beside business rates and upward only rent reviews, the conclusion was its a 'Perfect Storm' with rising online sales (20% of sales), minimum wage, pension contributions, BREXIT uncertainty hitting sales and in many cases too many shops of the wrong size and in the wrong location. Is it time to repurpose the High Street?
